✨ Short Summary / Outline

Using Jesus’ teaching in Matthew 6:25–34, Pastor Phil walks through God’s antidote to anxiety. As the notes explain, "worry is only the symptom… at its core is a heart of ‘little faith’”. Jesus calls His followers to trust their Father’s care in every area of life—food, clothing, needs, and the future.

1. God Will Take Care of Our Food (Matthew 6:25–26)

Jesus commands us to stop worrying and consider the birds. They do not plant or harvest, yet “your heavenly Father feeds them” . If God cares for them, He will certainly care for His children.

2. God Will Take Care of Our Lives (Matthew 6:27)

Worry cannot add a single moment to our lives. As the notes remind us, “Your life is in the hands of your Father… He knows the end from the beginning”

3. God Will Take Care of Our Clothing (Matthew 6:28–30)

Jesus points to the wildflowers—effortless in their beauty. If God clothes the grass, “won’t he do much more for you—you of little faith?”.

4. God Will Take Care of All Our Needs (Matthew 6:31–32)

Worry mirrors unbelief. Pagans chase after material things, but “your heavenly Father knows that you need them”.

5. God Will Take Care of Our Future (Matthew 6:33–34)

The cure for worry is simple: “first things first.” Seek God’s kingdom above all else, and He will provide everything you need. Tomorrow belongs to Him.

Application:

Faith flourishes when we trust God with today and release tomorrow. As the notes conclude, “God is on his throne, and you are in his hands.”
